Hills

Nestling shelter into a hillside has always been a natural instinct for humans. Hills provide safety and privacy, as well as great visual variety in the surroundings.

Building into a hillside demands both restraint and precision. Our hillside projects work with the fall of the land rather than against it, embedding architecture into slope and terrain to create homes that feel grounded, protected and intimately connected to their surroundings — from the English countryside to the storied hills of Los Angeles.
